Service regulations require that “the service provider must ensure that at all times a sufficient number of suitably qualified, trained, skilled, competent and experienced staff are deployed to work at the service”.

England and Northern Ireland:

City and Guilds Level 4 Independent Advocacy Practice (603/6889/5)
This qualification is significantly smaller than the independent advocacy qualification developed for Wales. Therefore, independent advocates (adults) who hold the City and Guilds Level 4 Independent Advocacy Practice qualification would be expected to complete the relevant pathway and legislation sections of the competency framework for their new role.
Scotland:
There are no identified qualifications for Scotland.
Induction requirements
