Decision summary

A Fitness to Practise Panel has found the following allegations proved against Mr Davies, a registered adult care home worker.

On 6 April 2022, Mr Davies was convicted at Haverfordwest Magistrates' Court of the offence of assault by beating and later failed to disclose this conviction when applying for registration with Social Care Wales on or about 4 July 2022. The Panel found Mr Davies’ conduct in regard to this matter to be dishonest and lacked integrity. Mr Davies attended for duty at work on 17 September 2022, when unfit to do so by reason of consumption of alcohol.

The Panel found Mr Davies’ current fitness to practise was impaired and imposed a Removal Order which means he will be unable to work in a regulated social care role in Wales.

Mr Davies’ name will be taken off the Register and placed on the List of Persons Removed from the Register.

Mr Davies has the right of appeal to the Care Standards Tribunal within 28 days.
