Agency working in social care: tell us about your experiences

| Social Care Wales

Have you worked in social care or social work through an agency in the past four weeks? We want to hear from you!

We’re working with Opinion Research Services (ORS) to find out more about agency working in social work and social care in Wales.

This research will help us understand why people choose to work through an agency, and how to improve working practices for everyone working in social care.

We’ve arranged discussion groups so you can tell us about your experience as an agency worker.

The online discussion groups will take place:

  • 28 November, 10.30am to midday: newly-qualified social workers
  • 29 November, 10.30am to midday: children’s social workers
  • 30 November, 10.30am to midday: adult social workers
  • 2 December, 10.30am to midday: social care staff.

We’re offering a £40 gift voucher to everyone taking part. You can use the vouchers in lots of places, and mix and match them.

How to take part

If you want to take part, register your interest by Friday, 11 November. You can only take part if you’ve worked in social care through an agency in the last four weeks.

We’ll only contact you if you’ve been chosen to attend.

Privacy

The information you provide will only be held by ORS, which is hosting the focus groups on our behalf. It won’t be passed on to us or any other third party.

All the information you provide will be processed by ORS in accordance with the latest data protection regulations and will only be used to inform this study. Any personal information that could identify you will be destroyed by April 2023.

For more information, read our privacy notice and the ORS privacy policy.

The sessions will be facilitated by ORS. We’ll receive the results, but we won’t take part in the focus groups and all responses will be anonymous.

There’ll be a maximum of 10 participants per group. If there are more people interested than places, ORS will review candidates to make sure there’s representation from across the workforce.
